Approximately 26 million Americans suffer from seasonal allergies. Furthermore, according the National Center for Health Statistics, the number of individuals who suffer from “milder” allergy symptoms is estimated at 40 million.
Living in Texas, chances are good you have tried over the counter (OTC) or prescription allergy medications before. These medications do not always work and sometimes they may cause uncomfortable side effects.
Dr. Szeto’s office provides fast, accurate, and painless (no needles) allergy testing. Results are available within 30 minutes and your results will be personally reviewed with you. If necessary, custom medications will be prepared to treat the underlying cause of your allergies.
Childhood development is an important time period in a person’s life. Preventative childhood visits allow patients to address any concerns or questions they may have with the doctor.
Dr. Szeto is enthusiastic about fostering an open and caring relationship with both parents and their children. Whether your child needs a shot for school, you have a concern about their behavior, or they have an illness that just won’t go away, we are dedicated to helping you address these issues and making you feel better.
Much emphasis is placed on obtaining and maintaining your optimal health. Therefore, we highly encourage all adults to have annual physicals. Routine check-up visits include health education regarding prevention of heart disease, cancer screening, immunizations, and general overall well-being.
We are dedicated to spending time with you in order to keep you well.
Vaccines not only protect you but they also protect those around you – meaning your family, children, and loved ones. Immunizations begin at birth and follow throughout childhood into your adult life. Whether vaccines are needed for school, work, or travel, we are here to protect you.
Dr. Szeto’s office offers routine, recommended, and required childhood immunizations. The practice follows the most current recommended vaccination guidelines approved by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), and the Advisory Committee of Immunizations Practices (ACIP).
Remember, vaccines are not just for kids. Each year many adults become ill from diseases that could have easily been prevented by vaccination. Everyone from infants to adults can benefit from immunizations.
According to the National Center for Health Statistics, approximately 38% of adults over the age of 20 are obese and 70% are considered overweight. If weight is a concern of yours our office has many options available. Dr. Szeto provides exercise and dietary counseling in conjunction with specialized testing. For some individuals, Dr. Szeto will help guide them in a medically-supervised weight loss program, including nutrition counseling, supplements and prescription medications.
